All of the dishes we tried were incredible, flavorful, fresh, and absolutely delicious. The mains in particular stood out, showing both quality ingredients and careful preparation. However, I felt the dessert didn’t quite reach the same level of deliciousness as the other dishes, and there’s some room for improvement there. The chef was very professional and kind in answering our questions, which added to the overall dining experience. Service was also excellent. The environment was fine, not particularly memorable, just remember the chair wasn’t very comfortable. As for pricing, it is on the higher side, but considering the location, it’s understandable and still acceptable for the quality of food and service provided.

La Stellar Maison truly impressed me with its balance of elegance and warmth. Every dish felt carefully crafted, from the soft, buttery rolls that started the meal to the beautifully made prawn dimsum and umai tuna, followed by fresh seafood pasta, perfectly cooked steak, and beautifully plated fish with mashed potatoes. The service was attentive without being intrusive, and the overall ambiance made it feel like a quiet escape in the city. A lovely spot for a refined yet relaxed dinner experience. Will definitely return.

This restaurant is truly a hidden gem in Bangsar. The food was unexpectedly good from start to finish. The butter served with brioche really stood out — rich and flavourful, with a subtle seafood taste that made it extra special to me. The peri-peri chicken was well-seasoned, tender, and came in a generous portion. Definitely satisfying. And their signature classic tiramisu is a MUST order — well balanced, not overly sweet, and a perfect way to end the meal. There are still so many dishes on the menu I want to try next time. Will definitely be coming back again

Begin with a brioche, normal texture and not buttery enough. The moment they served the appetizers…. Yum yum…. Everything is good. The mixeture of Western Malaysian flavour taste, it matches. Especially the asparagus with xo dried shrimp sauce, perfecto. Gambar Al Ajillio, the fried garlic and chili oil with perfect texture for the prawn is delicious and other small bites are good. However, when the miso cod fish dish was served its tiny bit of disappointment. The miso is too much and makes the well-cooked fish turn into overly salty. They don’t have much wine selection, so we ended up ordered the highest ranking Google review white wine and it is also the house highest price bottle. It kind of ruining the foods because first sip, I feel like drinking cough syrup and my personal preference if the restaurant not knowledgeable enough about wine better not selling it or let the customer bring their own or just go with those common brand. Worst part are me and my girl friend having headache like hangover the next day which we never had such experience before especially not with wine. Moreover, 2 of us just had 1 bottle.

La Stellar Maison in Bangsar is a charming spot with a cozy, modern setting that immediately sets the mood for a nice evening out. The owners, both the boss and lady boss, are warm and welcoming, while the staff service is decent—though the complimentary bread could have been served a little faster. Parking around the area can be tricky, so do plan ahead. One of the unique aspects here is their cashback system: you get 10% back as in-store credit on each bill, and on your next visit you can deduct up to 20% of the bill while still earning another 10%. Definitely a smart way to encourage returns. Food-wise, it’s a bit of a mixed bag but generally enjoyable. The prawn dim sum was easily the highlight—fresh, flavourful, and a great way to start the meal. The truffle risotto and seafood tomyam risotto were also solid, rich with flavour and cooked well, though I wish they could have cleaned the shrimp vein. The duck carbonara was another standout with a nice balance of creaminess and savoury notes. The grilled corn, however, was underwhelming—generic and neither sweet nor well-seasoned. The BAAH kut teh was interesting with lamb instead of pork; while the broth leaned towards being jelak after a while, the lamb itself was tender with no gamey smell, though the noodles were slightly too al dente. The cod fish portion was surprisingly small for the price, but the sea bass was much better executed. The lamb rack was alright but had too much fatty parts, which can be overwhelming if you’re not a fan. Finally, the pistachio tiramisu was a nice touch to end the meal. It’s not the usual tiramisu kind of texture but still nicely made. Overall, La Stellar Maison offers a unique dining experience with thoughtful touches and a few standout dishes. It’s worth a visit if you’re in the Bangsar area, especially for their prawn dim sum, risottos, and the chance to take advantage of their cashback system. I do wish that they updated their menu timely, as you’ll get bored with the same choices.

We got the umai tuna, prawn dim sum, truffle risotto and tiramisu. Umai tuna - flavor’s strong for me but that’s just umai for you i guess Prawns dim sum Truffle risotto Tiramisu - prolly good idea to get the alcohol pour + flambe at serving, i didn’t and it was a little dry. Appreciate the amount of detail to attention for the food and decor.

⭐⭐⭐⭐ (4/5) Visited La Stellar Maison and tried a variety of dishes in which some were fantastic, others could be improved. • Miso Cod Fish (8/10): Perfectly cooked, buttery cod with smooth mashed potatoes. Almost unagi-like in flavor. • Prawn Dim Sum (9/10): Beautifully presented, crispy and tangy with mala sauce. A standout! • Laksa Sarawak (9/10): Authentic broth with huge prawns. Could use a bit more paste and spice, but still very good. • Patatas Bravas (10/10): Crispy, addictive, full of flavors and it is definitely my top pick of the night. • Chicken Fingers (5/10): Homemade but a bit tough and under-seasoned. • XO Seafood Pasta (5/10): Fresh seafood, but lacking spice and zest. Felt incomplete. What made the experience extra special was meeting the owners, a lovely Sarawakian couple. They were so welcoming, and we ended up sharing our interests, experiences, and even food opinions with them and the chef. Their passion really shines through in the restaurant. Overall, the highlights definitely outweigh the misses. The presentation is stunning, seafood portions are generous, and the warm hospitality makes this place worth returning to, especially for the Prawn Dim Sum, Laksa, Patatas Bravas and their Flambé-style Classic Tiramisu that was worth the money! You can opt for non-alcohol too :)
